2010 World Champions

Expectations were high for the 2010 Packers after coming off an 11-5 season with one of the league’s youngest teams. Although Green Bay faced incredible adversity after losing 15 players to injured reserve, its players stepped up and were able to bring the championship trophy back to Titletown.

The offense was led by quarterback Aaron Rodgers, who had great chemistry with a receiving corps that featured four players with 45-plus catches. Behind a solid offensive line, Rodgers finished in the top 10 in nearly every significant passing category and became the first quarterback in franchise history to post a 100-plus passer rating in consecutive seasons. On the other side of the ball, Clay Matthews led the defense that ranked No. 2 in the league in scoring defense at 15.0 points per game and No. 5 in overall defense. The front seven helped the defense register 47 sacks, which was tied for No. 2 in the league and was the team’s highest ranking in franchise history. A ball-hawking secondary helped the team finish No. 2 in interceptions with 24.

The team used its toughness and competitive spirit to eliminate the top three seeds in its conference and make it to the world championship game. Once again, the Packers overcame injuries and the defense made key stops. In addition, Rodgers earned game MVP honors while leading the team to victory.
